Shielded Cables

A MUST(!) for wooden houses or construction with lightweight walls!

Electrical cables are wrapped with a protective film and then with an aluminum foil. An additional grounding wire runs internally, which has direct contact with the aluminum foil. The occurring electrical fields of the electrical cables are directly intercepted there.

Please ensure that the appropriate cavity or plaster sockets are also ordered!

Important! Instructions for the electrical specialist company

When installing, be sure to connect the earth connection of, for example, the plaster box with the earth connection of the used shielded installation cable (yellow-green with yellow-green, never with the neutral wire), protect the bare neutral wire with insulation tubing (no conductive components in the connection box), and lead it (neutral wire = shield connection, without connection to yellow-green) preferably up to the potential equalization bar or distribution box. Always apply the neutral wire on one side only, not as sometimes common in HF technology, connecting both sides to earth. Do not use mixed unshielded and shielded installation cables.

Use:

PVC control cable with copper shielding. Used as shielded signal and pulse cable in measurement, control and regulation technology, whereby the shielding serves as protection against external influences, such as electrical magnetic fields, interference frequencies, and the like.

Structure:

  1. Copper conductor, bare, fine-stranded
  2. Core insulation made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
  3. Wrapping with plastic film
  4. Braided tinned copper wires
  5. Outer sheath made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), gray, largely oil-resistant

Standards:

In accordance with DIN VDE 0281, DIN EN 60228 Class 5 (conductor design), HD 308 S2 (core identification for colored cores), core identification JZ: 1 core green-yellow, other cores black with numbers, core identification OZ: all cores black with numbers.
